2009 Canadian North Nunavut Mining Awards

CanadiannorthCanadian North is pleased to sponsor the Nunavut Mining Awards, recognizing the contributions of companies, individuals, and organizations to the development of the mining industry in Nunavut.

The Canadian North Nunavut Mining Awards will be presented at the 2009 Nunavut Mining Symposium, held in Iqaluit from March 31–April 2, 2009.

Awards are presented in three categories:

Individual

  • To recognize an individual who has made significant contribution to the mining industry in Nunavut.
  • To recognize outstanding progress by a Nunavut employee in the mining industry.
  • To recognize student/school involvement in the mining industry.

Corporate

  • To recognize the contribution on a mining, exploration, or related company to the economic/social development of a community, region or Nunavut in general.

Government/organizations

  • To recognize the contribution of a government department or organization to the advancement of the mining industry in Nunavut.

Nominations

Nominations will be accepted from individuals, companies, and organizations that reside in, or have operations in Nunavut. You can download a nomination form here.
